Aakruti has gained experience in various mental health roles over the past 7 years, including working as a Clinical Psychologist in India. She works with people from all cultural backgrounds and speaks Hindi and Gujrati.

She firmly believes that establishing a strong support system, no matter how big or small, is the first step to helping you achieve your life goals.Taking a flexible approach to therapy, Aakruti believes that the focus is very much on the needs of the client. Not a “one size fits all” process. Her aim is to guide you on your life journey, providing you with strategies to unlock your maximum potential. Aakruti especially enjoys helping her clients: improve their mood, overcome anxiety, reduce work-related stress, resolve relationship issues, cope with learning difficulties, and learn strategies to cope with many other mental health issues.

Aakruti has been awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Mumbai University and a Master of Arts (Psychology) from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersay Women's University. She has also completed an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and 3 Levels of Hypnotherapy training.

Aakruti is fully registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (a division of the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). All psychologists with general registration meet a minimum standard of education and training and have been assessed as a suitable person to hold general registration in the profession. She has met a high level of education, training, ethical and professional standards, and undertakes ongoing training and skills development. Psychologists with general registration have a minimum of six years of university training and supervised experience, and build on that with ongoing education. General registration allows psychologists to work in any area of psychology and to use the title 'Psychologist'. Psychologists use evidence-based, customised psychological approaches to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of clients and concerns.
Aakruti has the appropriate qualifications, training and registration to deliver services to injured workers in the NSW workers compensation system. As a State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) approved Psychologist Aakruti is also qualified to deliver psychological services to persons who have been injured in a motor vehicle accident through the New South Wales Compulsory Third Party (CTP) schemes.
Aakruti is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI).
